StartPoint Card/Checking

You wouldn’t give your teen keys to the car without attending driver’s ed. So don’t give them a credit card without learning how to manage plastic. Start your young adult with the StartPoint Card. It’s a great tool to learn how to control spending habits.

Parents load the card with a dollar amount and monitor spending online
Teens get financial independence with plastic they can use anywhere that accepts Visa – at the mall, online or at school.
ATM access for cash is limited to $25 per day. Parent may raise limit, or turn off access.
Teens 13 and older can get the StartPoint Card (at 16, may add checks)
$0 minimum balance requirement, and no monthly service charge
StartPoint Cards support three charities: Greater Chicago Food Depository, Teen Living Program and Clearwater Marine Aquarium.

No monthly service charge for youths 17 and younger
No monthly service charge for those 18 and older with a StartPoint Card/Checking or loan relationship. Otherwise, $500 minimum balance required.
