Fill Your Stomach with the Warm Feeling of Helping Others

You help feed the hungry when you choose the purple StartPoint Card! The charity that will benefit by your choice is the Greater Chicago Food Depository. The food depository is one of the largest food banks in the country, distributing nutritious food to as many as 300,000 hungry men, women and children in Cook County.

The food depository works with food pantries that provide groceries to qualified individuals and families. Meals are prepared at home by the recipients. They also work with soup kitchens, shelters, substance abuse treatment and recovery programs, subsidized day care programs and homes for the disabled. Over 35% of the clients served by Greater Chicago Food Depository member agencies are children 17 and younger.
